It's been a while, but have not had time to post in a while. Traveling 2300 miles across the country to be able to get to college. I will say driving across the country has taught me 3 things.
1. Road trips are amazing, if you give yourself time to stop where you want, and are not always in a hurry. 2. Even with plenty of time there are way too many museums(car and others alike) to see along the way. 3. Why have I not done this before? I might have a proper write up but here are a few pics from along the way.
+10 if you can name all the places these few were taken.

You should be passing near the Duesenberg Museum on your way. Stopping there?

Going the other way. Started in Texas toward California. Wish I could go.

I only went 1700 miles away both times (in different directions). Driving was always > flying.

I second the Driving is always > flying. It should actually be something like 1500, I may have taken a long detour.

You understand that we DO have some mighty fine schools here in Texas (contrary to what others believe), right?

Yes actually I do. Rolling admissions kicked me in the but. Apply early. Always apply early.

Enjoy the drive. Try to take some "off the map" 66 roads. It gives you a new appreciation of what it must have been like to drive across the country in the 20's and 30's. I have a few "Grapes of Wrath" roads I love to drive.
